The Textiles Recycling Expo is proud to announce its latest sustainability initiative in partnership with TerraCycle, a global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle waste. As part of this collaboration, TerraCycle’s innovative Zero Waste Boxes will be available at the expo, providing attendees with a convenient way to recycle lanyards and badges used during the event. The Textiles Recycling Expo is taking place on 4-5 June in Brussels, Belgium, tickets are free to attend so don’t forget to register here!
This initiative aligns perfectly with the expo’s commitment to reducing waste and advancing the circular economy. The introduction of Zero Waste Boxes ensures that event materials, which might otherwise contribute to landfill waste, are responsibly recycled and repurposed.
Events Manager, Peach Harper said; "With TerraCycle being involved in supporting our recycling needs across our conferences, they were the perfect choice in developing this partnership for our brand new Textiles Recycling Expo. The Zero Waste Boxes will be an important feature and serve as an innovative and simple solution in preventing thousands of lanyards and badges going to landfill or incineration."
TerraCycle’s Zero Waste Boxes offer a simple and effective solution for collecting and recycling commonly discarded items that are difficult to process through traditional recycling streams. Once collected, the lanyards and badges will be sorted and processed into reusable raw materials, contributing to a closed-loop system that minimises environmental impact.
Stephen Clarke, Head of Communications, TerraCycle Europe, commented: “TerraCycle is delighted to partner with AMI for the inaugural Textiles Recycling Expo in Brussels. The use of our Zero Waste Box solution for Name Tags and Lanyards will ensure lanyards and badges used at the event will be recycled rather than going to landfill or incineration. TerraCycle also offers a Fabrics and Clothing Zero Waste Box that delegates to the Expo may be interested in.”
The Textiles Recycling Expo is dedicated to showcasing leading exhibitors specialising in textile recycling, shredding, sorting, and machinery, providing insights into the newest advancements in sustainable textile processing. Additionally, the expo's conference programme, developed through a strategic alliance with Structural Partner ReHubs, will offer cutting-edge discussions on industry trends and challenges. Attendees will also have the chance to engage in networking opportunities, connecting with like-minded professionals who are shaping the future of the circular economy.
The event is organised by AMI and backed by leading associations including EuRIC, Fedustria, ReHubs and the Textiles Recycling Association. AMI is a leading provider of international exhibitions and conferences for the recycling market, their portfolio includes the Plastics Recycling World Expos which take place in Europe, the USA and India, plus conferences focused on both mechanical and chemical recycling.
