Polyolefins are most typically found in areas such as food packaging. However, the properties of specially modified grades mean they can also be used very effectively in more advanced applications. Some of the more recent advances in polyolefin materials include new grades designed for biaxial orientation and thermoforming as well as a UHMWPE film that claims to be as strong as steel.
