Leading companies sign up for first Textiles Recycling Expo

5 November 2024

The Textiles Recycling Expo has already received widespread support from key industry players ahead of its launch on 4-5 June 2025 at the Brussels Expo in Belgium.

Many of Europe’s pioneering companies in the implementation of textiles collection, sorting and recycling projects have booked stands at the exhibition. They include Circle-8 Textile Ecosystems, Clooseoop (a division of DBT Fibre), Coleo, Collection 4 Clothes, European Recycling Platform (a Landbell Group Company), New Retex, Norsk Tekstilgjenvinning, Mapea, and Syre.

In addition, leading suppliers of a wide range of technologies and systems for enhancing the recycling of textiles have signed up to exhibit in Brussels next June. Examples include Andritz, Carbios, Dell’Orco & Villani, Erema, List Technology, Matterr / Rittec 8.0 Umwelttechnik, and Reverse Resources.

One area of particular interest is the automated sorting of textile waste, and the major players in this critically important field will be well represented at the Textiles Recycling Expo. Suppliers that have already booked stands include: DataBeyond Technology, Matoha, Pellenc ST, Picvisa, Redivivum, Redwave, Stadler, Tomra, and Valvan.

The need to increase textile recycling rates is driving a growing amount of advanced R&D activity, and the exhibition will feature European research organisations that are leading the way in this field. Those that will be presenting their latest discoveries include Aimplas, AITEX, Magnolab, and Next Technology Tecnotessile.

“The reaction from across the industry has been extremely positive and supportive,” said Zied Chetoui, the exhibition’s sales manager. “More exhibitors are signing up every week, creating what will be the world’s largest event focused specifically on textiles recycling."

The Textiles Recycling Expo and its conference theatre are free to attend, opening up the event to a large international audience from across the complete supply chain. The organiser is AMI, a leading provider of international exhibitions and conferences for the recycling market. These include the Plastics Recycling World Expos taking place in Europe, the USA and India, plus conferences focused on both mechanical and chemical recycling. The company also publishes Plastics Recycling World magazine and produces in-depth market reports on recycling trends.
