AMI - Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Policy
Release date: 15-April-2024
At AMI, we are committed to conducting business in a responsible and sustainable manner. Our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policy reflects our dedication to creating a positive impact on the environment, society, and our stakeholders.
ESG values are deeply rooted in our company vision: to partner with the plastics industry to inform, influence, and drive progress through events, intellectual leadership, expert data, and insights. This outward vision is particularly formative for the plastics industry now that sustainability driven developments are the main drivers of change.
Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to minimising our carbon footprint and reducing waste by implementing sustainable practices across our operations.
We will continually strive to reduce energy consumption, increase the use of renewable energy sources, and optimize our resource utilization.

We work with a third party to annually measure our carbon footprint and identify changes in our day-to-day activities.
A few examples of our initiatives include:
- We have recycling stations throughout the office.
- We operate a paper-lite initiative and monitor and report printer usage by individual user.
- We have a cycle to work scheme.
- We produce digital magazines and have now digitalised all conference proceedings.
- We have motion sensor lighting in our office.
- We integrate sustainability considerations into our purchasing and selection process.
- We collaborate with our clients and contractors to make our events more sustainable, with particular focus on reducing single-use plastics and minimising waste.

Cyber Security and Information Governance: Cyber security has gained wider attention as the global workforce has pivoted to working from home and as data breaches occurred at companies in various industries. Companies can be fined, lose their IP and/or suffer reputational damage if they do not adequately protect their information networks. AMI has taken significant strides forward regarding protecting our networks and company IP. We have done this by introducing regular phishing simulations for staff with training and we ethically hack our own network to look for security vulnerabilities.
Our ESG policy underscores our dedication to responsible business practices and our commitment to creating long-term value for our stakeholders and the world at large. We will continually review and improve our ESG initiatives to ensure that we are meeting our sustainability goals and contributing to a better future for all.
